Rice Research institute of Iran in Mazandaran
The Mazandaran Deputy of the Rice Research Institute of
Iran, is located in Amol, a city in the North of Iran, in Mazandaran Province. It
has been established in 1963 and through the years, it has had significant
impacts on the rice cultivation in the region. The researchers of the Deputy have introduced
many improved cultivars, new cultivation techniques and disease control recommendations.
Today, the deputy of Mazandaran is an important branch of the Rice Research
Institute of Iran and it has 20 researchers with specialties in rice breeding
and biotechnology, physiology, agronomy,
plant protection, soil science and agricultural machinery.
